LED Face Mask before and afters
Benefits of red and blue light therapy
220 Veritace® red and blue LEDs power this LED face mask at two clinically proven wavelengths:
- Blue (415nm): Eliminates bacteria to target existing blemishes and helps prevent new ones from forming.
- Red (633nm): Boosts collagen production and reduces inflammation, helping to improve healing and even skin tone.
Together, these therapies clear and brighten more effectively than blue light alone, helping the skin to look and feel calmer.
Disclaimer: Blue LED light can cause temporary hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones. We recommend discontinuing use if hyperpigmentation occurs.
What's new?
The new and improved CurrentBody Skin LED Blue Light Therapy Face Mask has an added chin strap for extra coverage and more LEDs, providing a more complete and effective treatment across areas prone to hormonal breakouts.
Features an extra head strap for added support and a belt clip on the controller for portable and convenient red and blue LED light therapy at home.
Who’s using our Red Light Mask?
Your questions, answered
What is the difference between blue light and red light therapy?
Blue light therapy gets absorbed by the cells on the skin’s surface, specifically targeting spot-causing bacteria (p. acnes).
Red light therapy works below the skin’s surface to lower inflammation and soothe redness for a brighter, clearer skin tone.
How do I use the LED face mask?
Step 1: Conduct a sensitivity test.
Step 2: Cleanse and dry your skin. Attach the mask securely around your head and adjust the straps comfortably.
Step 3: Switch on, then sit back and relax for your 10-minute light therapy session.
Step 4: Remove the mask from your head, wipe clean and safely store.
Step 5: Continue with the rest of your skincare routine.
Can I use my normal moisturizer before I use the light therapy device?
Certain skincare and makeup can block the LED light from entering the skin. We recommend using the LED face mask on clean, product free skin.
Do I have to wear eye protection whilst using blue light devices?
Yes. It’s important to limit exposure to blue LED light, we recommend using the provided protective goggle inserts for the duration of your light therapy session.
What causes breakouts?
Clogged hair follicles due to excess oil, dead skin cells, dirt, or makeup can cause blemishes, while hormonal changes can increase oil production, leading to pore blockage.
And while stress alone doesn’t cause acne, it can aggravate the symptoms.
How do you define acne?
Acne refers to imperfections on the skin, such as discoloration, spots or marks, caused by various factors like hormonal changes, genetics, stress, skincare, diet and environment.
Our LED Blue Light Face Mask targets mild to moderate spots, pimples and whiteheads. However, it's not effective for treating pockmarks or indentations from previous spots, nor is it recommended for those with a history of melasma. If you have severe acne, please consult your doctor.
How should I clean the LED face mask after use?
Wipe down the transparent side of the LED face mask with water-based wipes or a damp, lint free cloth. Stubborn stains can be gently removed with 70% rubbing alcohol. We recommend cleaning your mask before every use to keep it fresh.
How long does the LED face mask take to charge?
6 to 8 hours for a full charge.
Why is my LED Blue Light Mask showing as purple light?
This mask uses red (633nm) and blue (415nm) LED wavelengths at the same time. When these two colors mix, they show as a purple pink light.
Does it hurt to use?
The device is 100% pain free. It does not get hot and should not feel uncomfortable.
Can I use the LED face mask more than the recommended amount?
We recommend using the device 3 to 5 times for 6 weeks to see best results. After 6 weeks of consecutive use, give your skin a short break of 1 to 2 weeks before resuming for another 6-week rotation.
Can I use it with skincare?
Please read the full list of contraindicated skincare, medication and other ingredients before using this device. These can be found below in our Contraindications.
What skin tone is the LED Blue Light Therapy Face Mask suitable for?
Blue LED light can cause temporary hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones. Fitzpatrick Skin Type V and above (typically described as brown to dark brown and darker) may be more prone to developing hyperpigmentation after blue light exposure.
